So you're gonna do it right?

I mean all the Donkey Kong Country games got GBA ports. Are you gonna make a gba version of diddy kong racing. Cause this sounds almost exactly like what it should. Fantastic!

EliteFerrex responds:

Hahaha, who knows? Considering that 8-bit is all I can make for the time being, I'll probably be making more 8-bits and redoing other songs, so it's possible I'll hit more from DK. :3

The Blue Marines for sure

I hear Sonic, Mega Man, and ya Leonardo from the Turtles is there too. Move out men. The blue team is go. Next time maybe a red squad like maybe Knuckles, Mario, and Raphael from the turtles. Or team green, Link, Yoshi, and Gex maybe. lol

You've done it again!

And with that, you sir have once more added another incredibly well done, thematically sound, and well orchestrated track to my list of 8-bit glory. Seriously man, without you, Otaku and Harajuku Heartbreaker would have no soundtrack for their sequel. Now I just have to make the first game in next gen and have the 8-bit sequel up and running for all of this totally awesome win.

You have been missed

Good improvements on the previous ones. You have been sorely missed my friend.

I can't get over it...

I'm no longer just getting the other games that influence your work anymore when I listen to stuff like this. The beginning sounds just like a megaman track I heard once. Then I get this kirby vibe. And without warning I start hearing the 8-bit Storm and 8-bit Jungle themes you've made in the past and it hits me, you have an 8-bit album here that could totally be the full soundtrack to a game. You're just shy a few hero and villain main themes and maybe some other emotion pieces like tragic or happy. Honestly dude... honestly.

Once Again

You've done a fantastic job of creating an awesome mech track for my Soul Balance series. It's fantastically progressive and and the synths are very well chosen. It's amped from the start and the breakdown near the end when you add that next synth lead just made it even better. WONDERFUL!

EliteFerrex responds:

I'm glad you like it; I haven't heard from you in quite a while!
Shoot me an email sometime; I have to have you listen to some of my recent work that I can't post on here!

NT you've out done yourself!

You know what I love about this mix? It's original enough to stand out on it's own even if you didn't know it was a Megaman tribute. It's got that rush towards the ever ominous and looming odds that are against you with reckless abandon that all Megaman mixes seem to thrive off of. Builds well, uses appropriate synth, fades appropriately, and genuinely amps you up. Impressive. Bravo!

NemesisTheory responds:

I couldn't say that myself, it breathes megaman to me, but if you say so then I'm definitely gonna take your word for it :DDD

Thanks very much for the awesome rush of commentary! <3

DKC for the GBA...

has a stage where you're in the factories and there are parts in this that really put that track to shame. I personal think this track is much better. It's got a concrete jungle feel to it that I just can't shake. The synth bass really drives this track up the wall. The lead synths dance around each other well and harmonize in just the right ways near the end. Interesting how finals has brought out some really technical tracks that sound as challenging as they are suppose to personify. I also appreciate the fact that this is indeed a direction different from your usual work. Look forward to the other tracks you're working on. ;)

Ferrex Presents: Kirby vs Maverick Chemical Plant

So the two doctors joined forces on this one. But recently, upon the third play through, I noticed some Kirby undertones. Surprisingly this is a good example of what your remixing style really is. Alot of the syntho choices and harmonic runs are very indicative of your kirby remix style, the song itself is source green! But it has a driving force very much in the signature of your megaman remixes. At 1:00-1:10, and when it happens again in the song things get a bit muddy but it still sounds really solid in that respect. Have you ever heard Aureametaphus' Mega Man X - Hyrule Stage? Between the two of those songs I feel that some halfway decent cross over songs, though yours isn't quite as intentional, can be made. See his is a song simple done in the sound font and style of another genre. Yours has all of its common threads in your own personal style. That's impressive and a mark of a good arranger. You subconsciously borrow from yourself in both synth choice and rhythm. Good work.

wow

Okay... so I can get no better Wily remixes from anyone but you. And this is no exception. From 1:00 on it's just awesome. Full of energy and build up and riddled with your signature sound fonts and runs. Adding to collection... now!

I do collabs and make music. Mostly I write stories. This is what I do.
