Hate to say it...

But one of the biggest reasons why this is so funny and good is that people who have never played the game will still understand why this is such a hilarious slam. Good work man.

A review

I gotta say, I've really enjoyed the story and fight scenes in this series but what really amazed me this time is that it seems Alvin as addressed the troves of haters this time around with original art work that is relevant and interactive with the story. Sure the 3D ship could use some work but he has proven that this is a project fraught with all sorts of media aspects that everyone can enjoy. The story, the action, the music, the sfx sync up, the artwork, and the amazing original sprite concepts like kick ass duel hammer wielding harm bro mario. As much as it depresses me to think it will probably take another year for Alvin to finish the next episode one can really see the growth that Mr. Earthworm has made over the years this project has been going. And best of all he does this just for the entertainment of others and himself. If you don't like sprite movies fine but if you haven't given Super Mario Bros. Z a chance then now is the time to see a self made concept to reality artist and his journey to a level that will soon become a multimedia powerhouse.
Keep up the good work Alvin and if all else fails, DO A BARREL ROLL!

Breath-taking

I have to say I'm glad I found this again. The music works really well with the animation. The artwork is refershing and original. I have seen episode 2 and I must say that this actually makes me want to see more of the series than episode 2 even did. I look foreward to more episodes. Great work and I hope Khale is one of the new heroes of our day.

Impressive

Ignoring that I just couldn't wrap my head around the music I loved every minute. It was a great tribute and a wonderful integration of hand drawn flash mixed with sprite work. I especially like the custom Miyamoto sprites. Enjoyable the entire time though I thought it was interesting you chose the more recent Link sprite. It works better but kinda clashes with SNES mario. Still a very well done salute to our favorite creator of our child hood video game heroes. Yeah, Mario, Yeah Link! VIVA MIYAMOTO! And good work Awk-Squid.

Revolutionary

Now this has been and always will be one of the more quality flash pieces on this site. Though the dialouge was non-existant your story and movement during the work convey a great deal of character traits and development. It's clear that Violet is a seasoned veteran and that Ravi is one of those kinda characters that seeks to succeed and can sometimes become over confident. So yeah, no dialouge and yet I care about the characters and what they're doing . Appropriate music, but alas, no new additions.
I've seen your other characters at the alley and I can't wait to see what else you do with the people of Freetown.

thank you for the review. it will be a while until characters star in a real full length episode but it is on the way, however slowly.

I do collabs and make music. Mostly I write stories. This is what I do.
